Precautions
There are anti-allergy medications that can cause drowsiness or are considered sedative in nature. It is important for every patient to know which medications have these effects in order to prevent any complications while under treatment.
Anti-histamines are known to cause drowsiness. However, there are types of anti-histamines that are no-drowse. Another is Cetirizine which can cause drowsiness in patients.
People with diabetes, high blood pressure, women who are pregnant and lactating should ask their doctor’s recommendation before taking any anti-allergy medication.
